Hello !

We hope that your summer has been restful and fun so far. Since our last public engagement on June 1st, we’ve started a period of reflection as we read and assess all that we’ve heard and learned from the OUSD community this spring. Your participation and commitment to the future of our district continues to inspire us.

As a part of our commitment to transparency and reflection, we have organized all the data and feedback we’ve collected, stripped it of personal identifiers, and published it in a number of places:

• The voices we heard at our June 1st event, transcribed from notes handwritten by the community.
• Our district reach so far, showing the schools and board districts that we’ve heard from, and the ones we still need to involve in our conversations.
• A demographic snapshot showing the overall representation across all our survey respondents.
• An updated accountability dashboard, outlining our results, goals, and progress that we’re making towards them.

As the summer progresses, our working group is planning a number of events and processes for the fall as we seek to provide expanded opportunities to engage. Specifically, we are prioritizing OUSD schools and families that are still underrepresented in our engagements. Those events and others will appear on our website as their dates are confirmed, and we’ll send along additional updates when the calendar fills out.
